Safety Brake Set systems are designed to alert the driver if the parking brake is not set and he/she leaves the driver's seat. A time delay relay or a speed sensor, or both, may be used to eliminate inadvertent triggering of the system. SBS sytems are engineered fail safe, with self-testing parallel circuits and a problem backup alert system. Two types of seat switches are available depending on customer specs. Both switches are available and may be installed by the seat manufacturer. SBS and USSC have worked together and seat switches can be speced through Recaro and USSC.
