Q-Do SBS systems meet standard 121?

A-All SBS systems meet requirements of standard 121. The National Highway Safety Transportation Board has reviewed the SBS system and indicates that all SBS systems meet standard 121 and do not require brake recertification.


Q-Is brake re-certification required after installing SBS systems?

A-No. Brake re-certification is not required after the installation of any SBS systems.


Q-Do SBS systems fit all vehicles?

A-SBS systems are designed to meet customer specs and can be designed to fit all vehicles.


Q-What would happen in the event of an SBS system failure?

A-All SBS systems are designed to either alert the driver that the system or a part of the system is failing or cause the SBS system to revert back to the original equipment systems. SBS systems are engineered to minimize the possibility of failures through the use of normally open valves, safety rated switches, and DOT approved fittings.


Q-Will SBS systems fit all vehicles?

A-Yes-SBS systems are designed to customer’s specs.


Q-How long has SBS been in business?

A-SBS has been testing and installing systems for over 8 years.


Q-If the driver of a vehicle moves around on the seat or hits a bump what prevents the alarm from sounding, indicating the driver is off the seat and the parking brake is not set?

A-SBS systems utilize a time delay circuit and in some cases, a speed sensor to prevent erroneous sounding of the alarm.


Q-Does SBS supply all parts for complete installation?

A-Yes. SBS carries a large inventory of parts for all installations. SBS kits contain all necessary parts and installation directions.


Q-Is installation training available?

A-Yes. On-site training can be arranged at customer request.
